I guess I could ferment anything at this point, but I got a really nice kit from some website and I&#8217;ve been using it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My last batch turned out really well:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/black-lot.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/bottle-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-51\" srcset=\"https:\/\/black-lot.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/bottle-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/black-lot.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/bottle-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/black-lot.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/bottle.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><figcaption>Pineapple Habenero Fermented for 3 weeks y&#8217;all<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>So I was all like, yo lets do this again, and get creative with this shit. Here is the loose recipe that I&#8217;m going to use:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients:&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>30 &#8211; 40 habenero peppers, tops removed and cut into 2-3 pieces<\/li><li>1 yellow carrot, chopped<\/li><li>2 limes, peels only<\/li><li>8 whole garlic cloves, skins removed<\/li><li>2 tablespoons salt<\/li><li>1 quart of water<\/li><li>2 cups white vinegar, reserved<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Directions:&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Tip: These peppers are hot, we strongly recommend wearing gloves while preparing this recipe<\/em>. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Pack peppers, chopped carrot and lime peels into fermentation jar.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Combine salt and water, stir until salt is fully dissolved to make the brine.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Add fermentation weight and pour in brine to cover, vegetables should be fully submerged. <\/li><li>Top with lid and airlock. &nbsp;Let ferment for 2-3 weeks at room temperature out of direct sunlight.<\/li><li>Discard lime peels. Add peppers and chopped carrot to blender with 1\/2 cup of the fermentation liquid. Blend until smooth and then add white vinegar. If hot sauce is too spicy, add more vinegar to taste.&nbsp;Hot sauce will keep refrigerated for at least 2 months.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/black-lot.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/bottom_habs-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-52\" srcset=\"https:\/\/black-lot.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/bottom_habs-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/black-lot.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/bottom_habs-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/black-lot.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/bottom_habs-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/black-lot.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/bottom_habs-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/black-lot.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/bottom_habs.jpg 1707w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>So I really hope it turns out well.
